Impact Goal: Expand community clinics to improve healthcare access, reduce disease burden, and strengthen local resilience

Description: Access Afya is a Kenya-based healthcare company providing a comprehensive technology-enabled healthcare system designed for the urban poor. Access Afya’s Curafa model provides entrepreneurs in these communities with financing, business support, and healthcare oversight to ensure that their locally owned and operated clinics are impactful and financially sustainable. The expansion of this programme will enable Access Afya to provide its asset-backed loans to health entrepreneurs to open additional Curafa franchise clinic locations, improve access to primary care services, medications and diagnostics, reduce the healthcare burden on the national healthcare system, and reverse morbidity and mortality trends.
