Description: Altree Capital NPO is the investment manager of the Altree Kadzi Gender Climate Fund (AKGCF), providing growth capital to women-led/benefitting, climate-smart SMEs across Africa. The Fund offers blended finance solutions with strong impact on gender equity, climate resilience, and inclusive economic development.

The AKGCF uses a blended finance model combining senior equity, a catalytic first-loss tranche, and a standalone TA facility to mobilize private capital into women-led, climate-aligned SMEs in Sub Saharan Africa. It offers flexible financing (e.g., revenue-based lending, convertible notes, mezzanine, buy back) tailored to early-stage business needs. The Fund applies a three-tier blended finance structure (first loss, senior equity, and TA facility) to crowd in private investors, de-risk capital, and maximize development returns. An evergreen proof of concept (AKGC SPV in the first-loss layer) builds track record for the larger fund.
