Description: Clarmondial is a Swiss-based, woman-led investment advisory firm with over a decade of experience in designing and managing innovative financial solutions to mobilize private capital for the sustainable use of natural resources, particularly in agricultural value chains and nature-based solutions across emerging and developing markets.
It has designed the Biosphere Integrity Fund, a USD 200 million blended finance impact fund providing long-term USD loans to transition strategic agricultural landscapes to sustainable practices. The Fund features layered de-risking through guarantees by Value Chain Partners and a blended capital structure (strategic equity, catalytic and premium notes) to attract institutional investors. It integrates Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES) and carbon credit revenues to enhance borrower cash flows and investor returns. Robust impact measurement and monitoring frameworks ensure environmental and social outcomes, with scalability and replicability designed to mobilize private capital in emerging and developing markets.
