About the solution
Impact Goal: Restore 10,000ha in Peru to sequester carbon, create jobs, and build climate resilience
Description: Treevive is a forest carbon accelerator that aims to conserve, restore, and sustainably manage two million hectares of tropical forest landscapes by 2030. Its Amazon Forest Landscape Restoration Peru solution aims to develop innovative scalable reforestation and carbon credit models to support climate resilience in the Peruvian Amazon. This solution targets a 10’000ha forest landscape restoration project which will generate jobs and sequester carbon in soils and living biomass by making degraded pasture and agricultural systems more climate resilient through improved soil, nutrient and water conservation and cycling, microclimate improvement, enhanced (agro-)biodiversity and improved farming practices.
