SIFI Brings PRISM Impact Lab to London Climate Week

During London Climate Week 2026, the SDG Impact Finance Initiative (SIFI) convened an invitation-only executive event, What Makes Capital Catalytic?, bringing together investors, fund managers, development finance institutions, researchers and ecosystem partners to explore how stronger evidence can accelerate private capital mobilisation.
Hosted in partnership with ETH Zurich and Tameo Impact Fund Solutions, the event marked an important milestone for the PRISM Impact Lab, SIFI's field-building initiative designed to strengthen the evidence base underpinning blended finance. By combining audited fund-level data, academic research and practitioner insight, PRISM aims to improve transparency, comparability and understanding of what makes catalytic capital most effective.
The programme featured keynote presentations from SIFI CEO Tenke Zoltáni, Ramkumar Narayanan (Tameo Impact Fund Solutions) and Professor Thomas Giroux (ETH Zurich), alongside case studies from the Mirova Sustainable Land Fund II and the Next Billion Digital Growth Fund. A panel discussion with representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), ETH Zurich, Tameo, Mirova and Next Billion Capital Partners explored the conditions under which concessional capital can maximise private investor participation.
The discussion reinforced the need for stronger empirical evidence to support investment decisions and highlighted the importance of closer collaboration between academia, investors and practitioners in advancing blended finance markets.
The event forms part of SIFI's broader Ecosystem Window strategy to strengthen the infrastructure supporting impact finance and mobilise more private capital towards sustainable development.
