SIFI at Building Bridges 2025: From Catalytic Ideas to Collaborative Action
Building Bridges 2025 once again confirmed Geneva’s role as a global nexus where finance, policy, and purpose converge.

Building Bridges 2025 once again confirmed Geneva’s role as a global nexus where finance, policy, and purpose converge. The SDG Impact Finance Initiative (SIFI) was deeply embedded across the week’s programme — not only contributing expertise to panels and workshops, but actively shaping the dialogue on how blended finance can move from promise to performance.
Over three days, SIFI advanced the blended finance agenda through insights, partnerships, and tangible outcomes: the announcement of six new Innovation Window winners tackling local-currency barriers; a joint workshop with the London Stock Exchange on liquidity challenges for impact investing; and contributions to the inaugural Initiative for Scaling Blended Finance.
From de-risking strategies and debt-for-nature swaps to innovation showcases and bilateral meetings with partners, SIFI’s participation reflected its growing role as a trusted bridge between public and private capital. This year’s presence reaffirmed SIFI’s mission to turn catalytic ideas into collaborative action — unlocking capital flows that deliver measurable, sustainable impact for people and planet.
