Following the success of its first call for proposals, the SDG Impact Finance Initiative is pleased to announce a second call for proposals targeting a new set of SDGs.
The SDG Impact Finance Initiative awards grants for innovative impact finance solutions that will mobilize private capital for sustainable development in emerging and frontier markets. The Initiative is funded by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the Swiss Development Cooperation Agency (SDC), the UBS Optimus Foundation, and the Credit Suisse Foundation.
This second call for proposals will focus on solutions that target SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), and/or SDG 15 (Life on Land). Through its grant funding, the Initiative aims to accelerate advancements in the impact investing market by supporting the launch of innovative solutions that address market failures, deploy financial products that are under-supplied or supplied at insufficient volumes, and mobilize funding into new sectors and geographies.
With support from Convergence, the global network for blended finance, the SDG Impact Finance Initiative will award grant funding for feasibility studies, proof of concept, or expansion of existing solutions.
UPDATE: Concept notes must be submitted by May 8, 2023.
